Election polling is one of the popular applications of survey analysis. Using surveys for elections or polls can help the organizers design their forms, collect responses and analyze results fast and easy.
Steps in Using Surveys for Elections or Polls
- Creating the Survey
In creating the survey, use Multiple Choice or Multiple Image Choice question types where the respondents are allowed to choose only one answer with the candidate’s name.
- Collecting the Votes
We recommend to use the Email Collector to ensure that the respondent can only vote/respond one time per email address, and you can keep the votes/responses anonymous while tracking who has or hasn’t voted/responded.
If you wish to use other collector types, make sure to change the collector settings to allow only one response per voter/respondent and to enable the anonymous responses option.
- Analyzing the Results
In Analyze Results tab you will be able to see which candidate has won the election. Choose from the different Chart types to customize the presentation of the results.
