Anonymous Responses

Anonymous Responses is a collector’s setting that gives you options whether not to track or save respondent’s identity in survey results.

3 Options in Anonymous Responses settings:

1. On, exclude ALL respondent information (names, email addresses, IP addresses, and custom data) from your survey results.
2. On, only exclude personal information (names, email addresses, and IP addresses) from your survey results.
3. Off, include all respondent information in your survey results.

Email Collector

Email Collector are designed to help you monitor respondents, so each respondent’s email address and IP address will be included by default in your survey results.
To enable Anonymous Responses:
1. Go to the Collect Responses of your survey.
2. Select Email collector.
3. Fill out the necessary fields on the first step, and click Next.
4. Under the Step 2, click the rightwards arrow next to the Anonymous Responses to show the dropdown menu.
5. Select On, exclude ALL respondent information (names, email addresses, IP addresses, and custom data) from your survey results to exclude all respondent information.

To enable Anonymous Responses:
1. Go to the Collect Responses of your survey.
2. Select Web Link Collector.
3. Under the Collector settings, click the rightwards arrow next to the Anonymous Responses to show the dropdown menu.
4. Select On, exclude ALL respondent information (names, email addresses, IP addresses, and custom data) from your survey results to exclude all respondent information.

Social Media Collector

To enable Anonymous Responses:
1. Go to the Collect Responses of your survey.
2. Select Social Media Collector.
3. Under the Collector settings, click the rightwards arrow next to the Anonymous Responses to show the dropdown menu.
4. Select On, exclude ALL respondent information (names, email addresses, IP addresses, and custom data) from your survey results to exclude all respondent information.

Offline Collector

To enable Anonymous Responses:
1. Go to the Collect Responses of your survey.
2. Select Offline Surveys Collector.
3. Under the Collector settings, click the rightwards arrow next to the Anonymous Responses to show the dropdown menu.
4. Select On, exclude ALL respondent information (names, email addresses, IP addresses, and custom data) from your survey results to exclude all respondent information.

Web Embed Collector

To enable Anonymous Responses:
1. Go to the Collect Responses of your survey.
2. Select Web Embed Collector.
3. Under the Collector settings, click the rightwards arrow next to the Anonymous Responses to show the dropdown menu.
4. Select On, exclude ALL respondent information (names, email addresses, IP addresses, and custom data) from your survey results to exclude all respondent information.

Notes:
– You must enable the Anonymous Responses option before sending your survey. It’s not possible to make responses anonymous once you’ve already collected responses.
– When using multiple collectors, you need to enable Anonymous Responses in each collector.
– If you want your survey to be anonymous, don’t include identifiable questions in your survey design.
