Track Respondents

There are a lot of ways to track respondents in Surview. By default, the IP addresses of the respondents are being tracked in most collector types.

Tracking Option Description
Web Link Collector By using the Web Link collector in sending your survey, you can track your respondents when you add the Contact Information question to your survey design and make it mandatory so the respondents is required to submit their name with their survey response.
Email Invitation Collector Sending your survey using Email Invitation is the best way to track respondents. An Email Invitation lets you track:

  • How many respondents opened your email
  • How many respondents clicked through to the survey
  • Who responded to your survey
IP Address By default, most of the collector types track the IP address of your respondents. If you wish to use this option, make sure that the Anonymous Responses option is off.

Note: If you wish to track your respondents, you have to set it up before sending your survey because it’s impossible to start tracking responses after the survey is sent.
