Respondents can take your survey for more than once if you allow multiple responses in a survey. This collector setting is useful if you collect responses from respondents on a shared device such as computer, laptop or tablet based surveys.
Allow Multiple Responses in a Survey
Multiple responses setting is off by default. You can enable this option if you’re using Social Media collector, Web Link collector or Web Embed collector.
To allow Multiple Responses in a survey:
- Go to the Collect Responses tab.
- Click the collector to open the collector settings.
- Click Multiple Responses.
- Select On, allow the survey to be taken more than once from the same device.
- Your changes will be saved automatically.
Note: If Multiple Responses and Response Editing are both on, the response editing will be limited. The respondents will only be able to edit the responses while taking the survey. They will not be able to edit the responses if they have already completed the survey.
Surveys with Single Response
Multiple Responses is off for all the collectors by default, which means that the survey only allows one response per browser or email address.
Web Link and Web Embed Collectors
When the Multiple Responses setting is off and a survey-taker tries to take the survey again, they will see a survey with their responses. They can only edit their responses if the Response Editing is on, but they cannot take the survey again.
Email Collector
Multiple Responses is not available in Email Collector’s settings. Each recipient can reply to an e-mail invitation only once.
Send a new Email invitation if you would like a recipient to take the survey more than once.
